Just a note - if you calculate that we just finished 22 weeks of countries plus 2 or 3 weeks of Christmas that comes out to well over 100 - but we did not do his 1st grade curriculum each week and it's 100 days of Mathboy doing his curriculum workbook. We had a handful of weeks of not doing the numbered days in there. Also, to MFW users: Mathboy was bothered by the fact that the number of the day didn't correspond to the day # on the workbook pages, so we did the number of the day on Exploration day to keep up.
Fortunately, I saved the activities list that Bookgirl did for her 100's day and also a Hundred's in the Bible sheet I made. We used many of the same activities this time around. Here's a list of some things we did:
Made a poster with 10 groups of 10 things
Made crowns with 100 on them
Finished his 100's chart
Added the last penny to his cup, and converted it to $1.00
Finished his place value sticks and talked about place values in the 100's
Read books with 100 in them (thanks to the library)
Did Bible Worksheet
Outside activities:
Measured 100 of Daddy's steps
Measured 100 of Mathboy's steps
Many many races
Hopscotch by 5's
Figured out what year it will be when each of us turns 100
Asked silly questions like "what would you do with 100 popsicles" and "what would you do with 100 elephants"
Had food shaped like 100 for dinner
