Spiritual Birthday & a gift of Love

 Today is Bookgirl's 4th Spiritual Birthday!  4 years ago today, on a Father's Day, she accepted Jesus into her heart.  We started our celebration today with going to one of her favorite places - the Library! (we don't call her Bookgirl for nothin')  Then we went to Tropical Smoothie Cafe where we got free smoothies for wearing flip-flops.  Yum!

 For the record, that was not Baby New Year's smoothie.  It was mine, but I shared. :)  Actually right after this picture he reached down and took a big sip.

On this day that we celebrate Bookgirl receiving the free gift of Love Jesus gave her, she and a special friend gave a gift of love and hair to another woman or child.   It was just over 2 years ago that Bookgirl gave Locks of Love 10 inches of hair.   At that time, her dance teacher, Miss A, told her if she grew it out again, she might donate with her.  Well Bookgirl has a really good memory, so when her hair was long enough, she asked Miss A to donate with her.  Between them they gave over 22 inches!  We were all blessed by the generosity of the R family.  Mr R took part of his day-off and family time, to cut their hair for free.

Two Beautiful Ladies!

Bookgirl and Miss A have such a special relationship.  It was meaningful to Bookgirl to share this together and especially for it to happen on her Spiritual Birthday.  In fact, when she realized it, she yelled "That is SO GOD!!!"   It was such a cute and sweet moment that she recognizes God arranged moments in her life and showed gratefulness to Him.  Before we mail this hair off to Locks of Love we will pray for whomever receives the wigs.
