Our main craft was a felt craft in the style of the Lapps clothing "gakti" in northern Scandanavia.
Mathboy has been working on his Bible notebook. Here are the first 3 pages.
Creation
A Sad Day (when Adam & Eve disobeyed)
Cain & Abel
Here's a sweet picture. Bookgirl was doing a spelling test/dictation and Mathboy was encouraging her with hugs and kisses :) He's become alot more affectionate lately with Bookgirl and myself.
We finished off our Northern Europe study with a dinner of Swedish meatballs and Swiss fondue with things to dip in there of course. The biggest hit were the meatballs with a recipe from my friend Katja (thanks girl). They were delicious. In fact, I didn't put the leftover meatballs away soon enough and Mathboy kept going back in the kitchen and eating them until they were all gone!
Fall brings about a change of sports. Soccer season has ended and t-ball practices have just begun. Mathboy was so blessed with a Godly soccer coach and a Daddy with a passion for the game. He really loved playing and practicing and he improved quite a bit during the short season.
Little Sponge also just finished up 2 sessions of gymnastics. It was a Wednesday morning "Mommy & Me" class at a local gym. We will take a break until January. When he returns he'll move to the next level class. Here are a few pictures from the last day. There were gymnasts training in there, so I didn't use the flash. Please excuse the grainy bits.
Baby New Year has started eating solid foods (mostly veggies so far). Here are a couple of pictures. The little green thing on his nose is a piece of Broccoli.
If I can get it to upload correctly I should have a video of Little Sponge to add to this post later. I also have some pictures from a couple of trips we took to share soon as well, so check back soon. Have a blessed week everyone!
edited to add this video. This is an example of why we call him Little Sponge. He just absorbs things that the big kids learn. They learned this Continent song at the beginning of the year, and last week he just started singing it again. Cutie.
